Biography

Born in Grenoble, France, DJ Karaba's musical journey began with Motown classics during family road trips. Raised by a Congolese father and French-Italian mother, she absorbed a diverse musical palette, from The Temptations to French rap. Dance entered her life early, becoming a passion she pursued in key musical hubs like New York and Los Angeles.

In LA, Karaba danced for stars like Drake and Selena Gomez, but a canceled tour in 2016 led her to discover DJing. Enrolling in the DJ Scratch Academy, she found a new artistic purpose. Full-time DJing followed in 2019, with Karaba meticulously crafting mixes that tell stories and celebrate life.

Her mixes, like "Ah ça c'est Karaba," showcase her dedication to Afro house and beats, emphasizing the influence of African music on global sounds. Through her work, Karaba aims to inspire curiosity about the richness of African music.

Currently working on her EP with mentor Stephen Ramsay, Karaba combines her love for movement and music creation. Her intense, electric music reflects a desire to inspire, particularly young black girls, showcasing that one can achieve anything with dedication and passion.
